Skanska builds a new office property in Gothenburg

Swedish construction company Skanska is developing and constructing a new office property with strong green profile in Gothenburg. Skanska's investment amounts to about SEK 350 M in the first stage comprising 12,000 square meters of rentable floor space. When fully constructed, the office project will comprise a total of 17,000 square meters. The first phase is scheduled to be completed in autumn 2010.

The new property in Gårda is expected to be the first in Gothenburg to meet the demands for the EU GreenBuilding label. This means that the building's energy consumption will be at least 25 percent lower than what is prescribed in the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning's (Boverket) standard for newly constructed properties.
