Hochtief secures contracts in the USA

German construction company Hochtief has scored new successes in the USA, securing contracts worth an aggregated EUR 124 million via its local subsidiaries.

For a total of EUR 64 million (USD 100 million), Hochtief subsidiary Turner is set to construct new buildings at three university locations: the scope of work for the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, the University of Buffalo and the University of California in San Diego will include new laboratories, classrooms and residential buildings comprising a total of 60,000 square meters. The projects at the University of Illinois are being constructed to achieve LEED Silver NC Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.

The new Hochtief subsidiary Flatiron secured various new contracts in the area of transportation infrastructure: at a total of almost EUR 60 million (USD 93 million), the company will build light rail, reconstruct roadways and perform seismic retrofit in California and repair existing tunnels in Colorado.
