Lochinvar enhances Squire Indirect Water Heater

Lochinvar as a manufacturer of high-efficiency water heaters and boilers continues to introduce innovative new products while also updating and improving existing models. Most recently, Lochinvar has enhanced its Squire Indirect Water Heater, a true advancement in hot water generation. When used with a high-efficiency condensing boiler, the Squire uses the energy generated to heat the home to also heat domestic water, consuming fuel more efficiently than a direct-fired water heater and significantly reducing operating costs.

Available in five different models and sizes, the Squire meets all space heating requirements and hot water demands, while also eliminating the need for an additional gas line, electrical connections and vent ducts required with direct-fired tank-type water heaters. Featuring a high output 304 stainless steel heat exchanger coil, the Squire offers maximum heat transfer efficiency with more surface area, delivering larger amounts of hot water. Due to the heat exchanger's internal size and external surface area, the Squire far exceeds the recovery rate of gas fired water heaters and supplies as much as five times the amount of hot water as a comparably sized electric water heater. The two-inch thick insulation quality ensures ultimate energy-efficient operation.

The Squire is equipped with a durable plastic jacket that provides a rustproof finish even in wet and corrosive environments, and the stainless steel construction increases the tank's corrosion resistance for years of reliable, dependable service. The simple design requires virtually no maintenance, saving money on costly service calls. In addition, Lochinvar offers a limited lifetime warranty on the Squire for added peace of mind.
