Aqualia obtains water management contract

Aqualia, a subsidiary of the FCC Group, Spain’s largest public services company, has been awarded a contract by Torredembarra City Government (Tarragona) to manage municipal water supply and sanitation. The 25-year contract represents a backlog of 73.87 million euro. Aqualia has been operating Torredembarra's wastewater treatment plant since January 1999; with this contract, it is now in charge of the town's entire water cycle. Torredembarra has a population of more than 14,000 people, rising to 45,000 in summer.
