Land Securities appoints new member to London team

Land Securities has appointed Jonathan Evans as Head of London Asset and Property Management in its London business division, effective from 1 June 2008.

Jonathan is joining from DTZ where he headed the Inward Investment team having previously been in charge of the West End Business team. Jonathan was with DTZ for 12 years and prior to joining them he worked at Hillier Parker and for 10 years at Knight Frank.

Jonathan's appointment comes as Robert Heskett, currently Head of London Asset Management, announces his intention to step back from a day-to-day operational role at Land Securities. Robert has been with the company for 30 years and has agreed to stay on and help with the hand over of the asset management portfolio to Jonathan as well as to work on the plans for the London business as a demerged entity. Robert will be part of the London business until at least the end of 2009.
