Wausau's new Low Profile windows

Wausau Window and Wall Systems offers its "flagship" projected window line, the 2250, 3250 and 4250 Series, along with new "low profile" (LP) options. Suitable for a wide range of new construction and renovation applications, Wausau's smooth-operating projected windows are engineered for reliable performance and durable dependability, whether choosing hopper, awning, casement or fixed windows.

Created to offer increased daylighting, lower U-Factor, and wider view, the new, narrow sightlines match with Wausau's most popular products and configurations. Extending the windows' functionality and design appeal, these products also can be specified with custom finishes and accessories such as muntin grids.

Successfully tested to meet stringent code requirements, the new Low Profile windows are AAMA AW-60 rated and feature 2.5-, 3.5- and 4.5-inch frame depths with polyurethane thermal barrier. Depending on the glass/frame combination, the windows' achieve 0.34-0.68 U-Factor and can be labeled for National Fenestration Rating Council energy performance.

Operable windows also present a seasonal opportunity for natural ventilation and air-conditioning energy savings when included as part of a facility's HVAC design. These benefits, along with daylight and outside views, also are recognized by the LEED Green Building Rating System(TM) as contributing to a building's energy efficient and environmentally sound design. Enhancing these qualities, aluminum products may be specified with recycled content and can be finished on request with liquid paints composed of up to 100% post-industrial waste, or powder paint and anodize finishes specified as VOC-free coatings.

In addition to contributing to sustainable goals, Wausau's new Low Profile windows comply with commercial building criteria for the Pacific Northwest region and California's uniform school districts' requirements. A popular choice among schools, hospitals and other projects with tight timeframes and limited budgets, all of its projected windows are part of the Advantage by Wausau offering. This means they are competitively priced, available on an accelerated delivery schedule, and backed with an industry-leading warranty of up to 10 years.
