Impregilo wins order in Switzerland

Italian construction company Impregilo said that its Swiss subsidiary CSC Impresa Costruzioni SA in a consortium with the Frutiger AG, Jager Bau GmbH and Interalp Bau AG companies had been awarded the contract of the Traffic, Construction & Environment Department of the Canton of Valais for construction of a road tunnel, part of the new orbital highway in the Swiss municipality of Visperterminen. Overall, the order is worth approximately 358 million Swiss francs (approximately 218 million euro at the current exchange rate). The CSC subsidiary holds a 36% stake in the consortium that has been awarded the order.

The project is for construction of the Eyholz road tunnel, consisting of two bores for a length of approximately 3.7 kilometres each. Work is expected to be completed in the second half of 2013.
