Successful year for Vibe Design Group

2007 has proven to be a particularly successful year for Vibe Design Group having received accolade in both the Victorian and Queensland design awards. The Nautilus project located in Beaumaris, Victoria, was heralded by the judges for its raw shape and form which created the minimalist street façade. The new home was cleverly zoned to accommodate both the family with young children and guests with optimum energy efficiency and the utilisation of low maintenance building products.

The spectacular overhaul of the Chevron Island property on the Gold Coast, Queensland caused much of a stir. Most amazing was that approximately 70% of the existing solid structure was utilised in the new design. The residing judges commented that the only factor identifying that is was in fact the same property was the pencil pine tree featured in the front setback.

Although always pleased to be recognised in the awards for constructed works, Vibe Design Group believes that many of their most exciting designs are either in design or town planning stage, many on the Northern Coastline of NSW. Specialising in coastal design, Vibe Design Group has opened its first regional office on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria.

Vibe Design Group has overseen the construction of two dwellings in Kew, Victoria which are now in the final stages of completion. The designs are particularly striking and utilise fantastic use of space on a reasonably tight site overlooking the Yarra River. One of the dwellings features an awe inspiring five metre cantilever to the upper storey.
