New 1-3/4” coil roofing nailer

Hitachi Power Tools introduces its new 1-3/4" Coil Roofing Nailer, the NV45AE. This new nailer combines Hitachi's proven two-valve cylinder drive system with upgraded features such as lower recoil, faster firing speed, and well-balanced design to deliver optimal performance. With minimal air consumption and a pneumatic air feeding mechanism, the NV45AE drives nail after nail. Hitachi's quick firing two-valve cylinder is carried over in the NV45AE from the popular NV45AB2 roofing nailer for high speed use for which Hitachi nailers are known. Instead of a spring advance system, the NV45AE has a pneumatic nail feed mechanism powering both the nail advance and return for consistent operation, even in the harshest conditions. The NV45AE roofing nailer consumes 30% less air allowing for more productivity time per compressor cycle. And with 30% faster bump firing speed and optimized recoil, this nailer quickly skips across each course for a rapid finish.

Durability is crucial on a tough job and the NV45AE is built to endure. It is constructed with all aluminum components as opposed to cheaper plastic parts some competitors have substituted. Hitachi's patented and improved push lever design includes a third long-lasting carbide contact point. This increased abrasion-resistant insert added to the tip lengthens the life of the push lever. By preventing uneven roof wear on the nose, it sits evenly on the work surface for accurately placed and flat set nails. The round driver blade in this powerful nailer makes full contact with the nail head and delivers secure and perfectly flush nail placement with every fire. Fewer cupped nails make for a smoother roof that will withstand the elements. This patented two-piece push lever also has integrated holes to expel excess tar and grime build-up inside the tool. The lower segment can be easily removed for maintenance or replacement.

The non-slip magazine protector design is unique to the NV45AE. Improved rubber composite guards wrap the side-edge of the magazine as well as critical points on the tool body to reduce the harsh wear nailers endure skidding across rough asphalt shingles. The non-slip texture also keeps the tool from sliding down a pitched roof. The NV45AE includes well-planned features for superior handling, convenience and control. The side-loading magazine allows for quick and easy nail replenishment. (A bottom-load option is also available as the NV45AES.) When it's time to reload, a magnet holds the final nail in place so each and every one is used efficiently and fired properly. The tool-less depth of drive dial can be adjusted on the spot to meet the application for ultimate convenience.

Hitachi's patented elastomer composite material covers the grip for a secure hold, while the ergonomic design and exceptional tool balance not only reduces user fatigue and repetitive stress injuries, but also provides more control during use. The NV45AE accepts 7/8" – 1-3/4" fasteners with wire coil collation. It has a fastener diameter range of .120 and can hold 120 nails in its side loading magazine. It weighs only 5.5 lbs and is covered by Hitachi's industry leading limited 5-year warranty. The NV45AE comes with safety glasses, and two hex bar wrenches (4mm & 5mm). Optionally available are a single shot trigger and a power pack set.
