URS wins contract in Los Angeles

URS Corporation has been awarded a contract by the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority to lead a team in developing an environmental impact study (EIS) of proposed improvements to the I-710 Long Beach Freeway Corridor between the Port of Long Beach and State Route 60 in east Los Angeles. Under the terms of the contract, URS will provide preliminary engineering and environmental analyses of different improvement alternatives for the 18-mile Long Beach corridor, which is the primary truck route between the ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles. This 43-month contract has a value of $22.7 million to URS.
