Fugro buys William Lettis & Associates, Inc.

The Netherlands' Fugro has acquired William Lettis & Associates, Inc. (WLA), a leading geological consultancy with headquarters in Walnut Creek, California. Founded in 1990, WLA operates globally from offices in California, Colorado, Texas and Georgia. Turnover for WLA in 2007 is over USD 15 million and it employs a staff of 75.

WLA is an earth science consulting company who specialises in earthquake hazard assessment and engineering geology for the power industry, government agencies, the oil and gas industry, and the water and infrastructure markets.

Currently, the firm is very active with the resurgence of the nuclear industry and other larger projects such as the Panama Canal extension.
