| Otis wins record order in Spain The Otis elevator unit of the United Technologies Corporation will supply and install 580 of its environmentally friendly, energy-efficient and space-optimizing Gen2 Comfort elevator systems at Tres Molinos, a luxury resort in the Murcia region of southeast Spain. This win marks the largest single Gen2 elevator order in Otis history. The Gen2 machine-roomless system, with its gearless permanent magnet motor, reduces energy usage by up to 50 percent when compared to conventional systems.
