Hatch wins EP assignment for Argentine mine

Hatch was recently retained by Minas Argentinas S.A. (MASA), a subsidiary of Yamana, to provide detailed engineering and procurement services, and assist MASA with construction management at the Gualcamayo Project, 270 km north of San Juan, Argentina. The mine is located at elevations between 1,940 and 2,670 meters.

The project will follow an aggressive schedule that began in June 2007 and will end with the application of solution to the Heap Leach Pad by July 2008, allowing MASA to achieve a production of 100, 000 ounces of gold in 2008.

Engineering and procurement services will be provided by the Hatch Santiago office, with selected assistance from Johannesburg for underground tunnels, and Elko, Nevada for process input.
