HDR experts to be featured at Alaska Oil & Gas Symposium

HDR experts are among the featured speakers at the third annual Alaska Oil & Gas Symposium, which will be held September 17-18 at the Anchorage Marriott in Anchorage, Alaska. Regulatory and operating environments are undergoing scrutiny in the energy-rich state, as energy suppliers increasingly look to Alaska to help address North American energy independence. Key government and industry representatives will help symposium attendees understand the economic and regulatory drivers that can affect development of Alaskan oil and gas projects.

HDR's Senior Environmental Program Manager Mitchell Shields will lead a discussion on the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's pipeline construction requirements and how they might apply in an Alaskan setting. HDR's National Power and Energy Director Darryl Shoemaker, Ph.D., will moderate the session "Federal Incentives and Efforts Addressing Alaska's Importance in securing New Domestic Energy Supply."
