Kone wins high-rise projects in Moscow

Kone has won an order to supply all the elevators and escalators for two new high-rise buildings with Kone destination control systems in Moscow, Russia. The Imperia Tower is part of the Moscow International Business Center known as Moscow-City. Additionally, Kone will supply elevators to the White Square Office Centre located on Lesnaya Street in central Moscow. The orders include a total of 53 elevators and 2 escalators. Both projects were signed with the well-known Turkish construction giant ENKA.

Moscow-City involves 18 high-rise projects with multi-functional buildings. Earlier, Kone has been chosen to provide elevators and escalators for the Naberezhnaya Tower project and for the twin-tower project named Capital City.

The Imperia Tower in Moscow-City comprises office, apartment and hotel components. It rises 60 stories from the ground and includes 5 floors of underground facilities. The White Square Office Center comprises three separate class A+ office buildings with a common 3-level underground car park. Imperia Tower is expected to be completed within the first quarter of 2009 and White Square Office Centre within the third quarter of 2008.
