Bilfinger Berger acquires O'Hare Engineering

Bilfinger Berger is expanding its Industrial Services business for the process industry to the United Kingdom: With the takeover of O'Hare Engineering, the group has acquired an established British provider of repair and maintenance services for production facilities. Both sides have agreed to keep the purchase price for the family-owned company confidential. With about 600 employees, O'Hare generates an output volume of over €60 million. From the beginning, the company makes a positive contribution to Bilfinger Berger's net profit and achieves a return on capital employed well above the cost of capital.

The company, based near Manchester, carries out 80 percent of its business on the basis of long-term framework agreements. The focus of its activities are in mechanical engineering as well as electronic measurement and control technology.
