Northrop Grumman receives contract from the U.S. Army

Northrop Grumman Corporation has been awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract by the U.S. Army that supports the Army's transformational efforts with their information technology infrastructure. This ID/IQ contract, Information Technology Enterprise Solutions 2 Services (ITES-2S), was awarded to 16 contractors, including Northrop Grumman's Information Technology (IT) sector.

ITES-2S is a nine-year, $20 billion, ID/IQ program that will provide the Army with a full range of information technology services and solutions to support enterprise infrastructure goals worldwide, including command, control, communications, computers, and information management.

Northrop Grumman's teammates on the program include Nortel Government Solutions, Fairfax, Va.; Siemens AG, Munich, Germany; L-3 Communications Titan Group, Reston, Va.; T-Systems, Frankfurt, Germany; and Unisys Corp., Blue Bell, Pa., in addition to 22 small business partners. The team provides strong Army domain expertise and the depth and breadth required to handle simultaneous, enterprise-level projects globally.

ITES-2S is a key element of the Army Enterprise Infrastructure Transformation program, which is designed to reduce the cost of maintaining information systems while improving access to information and applications.
