BAM PPP appointed preferred bidder for six schools in Scotland

West Dunbartonshire Council has appointed BAM PPP (the specialist PPP investment arm of Royal BAM Group) as its Preferred Bidder to provide six new schools. This contract will have a value of more than EUR 175 million and will deliver four new secondary schools and two new primary schools with Early Education and Childcare Centres. West Dunbartonshire is located in the west of Scotland and stretches from the outskirts of Glasgow to the banks of Loch Lomond.

Every effort will be made to achieve financial close in the autumn of 2007. Work will start immediately after financial close with all sites becoming active within the following three months. If these target dates are achieved the new schools will be handed over to the council between April 2009 and October 2010.
