Miller introduces Travel Pak for Maxstar

The new Miller Travel Pak simplifies equipment transport management for process piping contractors and others welding tube or pipe up to schedule 40, providing a rugged and convenient travel case for a Miller Maxstar 150 TIG/Stick welder and related equipment.

The Travel Pak features a wheeled, heavy-duty, water-resistant cloth case with telescoping handle, heavy duty padded shoulder straps and plenty of storage for the Maxstar 150 STL or STH TIG/Stick welding power source, as well as other tools and accessories.

The Travel Pak can be ordered by itself or as a package that includes a Maxstar 150 STL or STH, a Kline Side Cutter, a Nicholson File, an inspection mirror, Weiler Stainless Steel brushes, a MagLite, a Smith flowmeter, a work cable, a Weldcraft WP-17 TIG Torch w/adaptor, an electrode holder and cable and a remote finger tip control and accessory box. The complete package weighs only 44 lbs.

Miller designed the Maxstar 150 for mechanical contractors, fabricators and maintenance/repair personnel who work in the field and demand a full-featured Stick/TIG welding power source. The Maxstar 150 weighs just 13.7 lbs., has a 5 to 150-amp welding range and features Miller's Auto-Line technology for automatic linking to 115-230 VAC and Line Voltage Compensation to keep power output constant regardless of +-10% fluctuations in input power.

The Maxstar 150 is available as an STL or STH model. Both feature Lift Arc for TIG arc starting without the use of High Frequency, Adaptive Hot Start for Stick, and best-in-class TIG and Stick arc characteristics. The Maxstar 150 STH also features High Frequency starts for non-contact starting and built-in pulsing with four fixed-pulse frequencies.
