Atkins achieves top CAT score

The UK’s largest engineering consultancy, Atkins has achieved the top score among consultants in the Highways Agency Capability Assessment Tool (CAT) and is ranked as the fourth highest scoring company overall.

The CAT assessments, designed to help organisations identify strengths and areas for development, have recently been enhanced with the introduction of several new indicators to assess capability rigorously. Atkins' Highways &Transportation (H&T) division attained a score of 183.8 in the latest CAT 3 assessment and attained top third scores on 9 of the 24 indicators.

As excellence is an essential component of the delivery of Atkins H&T's strategy, securing a high CAT score is a significant milestone in continuing its pursuit of excellence. The H&T division, which has recently been awarded the prestigious Investors in Excellence accreditation, in recognition of its commitment to excellence, now plans to use the CAT feedback and successful outputs of recent Business Excellence workshops to enhance its ongoing integrated excellence programme.
