Poyry wins contracts in Brno and Paris

Poyry's Infrastructure & Environment business group has been awarded two important projects related to urban environmental engineering. The total value of the contracts is EUR 2.5 million. The municipality of the City of Brno, the Czech Republic, has assigned Poyry for planning the general arrangement of the dewatering system. Poyry's assignment comprises hydraulic calculations of the 950 km long sewerage network and hydraulic evaluation and water quality modelling of 38 waterways.

The public utility SIAAP (Syndicat Intercommunal d'Assainissement de l'Agglomeration Parisienne) in charge of wastewater management in the area of Paris, France is upgrading the main wastewater treatment plant Seine Aval to comply with EU regulations for treatment of nitrogen and phosphorus pollution. The plant is the largest one in Europe with a daily average flow of 2.1 million cu. m/d and serves a population equivalent of 6 million. Poyry has been assigned for the project management of feasibility studies comprising technical and financial supervision and selection of the optimal upgrading solution.
