Carillion wins funding from Train to Gain

Carillion Construction Training, the training services arm of Carillion plc, has won funding worth £180K from Train to Gain to provide free construction training and assessment services to London companies.

Train to Gain is a government service funded by the Learning Skills Council that offers free and impartial training advice to businesses. Train to Gain works by sending a 'skills broker' to review an organisation's skills needs and training requirements and then advises on the various options available for funded training.

The Train to Gain funding enables Carillion to offer free training and assessment services to construction companies based or working on site in London. Carillion delivers training and assessment to NVQ Level 2 standard in several construction trades including bricklaying, joinery, groundworks and plant operations.
