Tetra Tech awarded $15 Million Hunters Point task order

Tetra Tech, Inc. announced that it was awarded a new $15 million task order for base-wide radiological support at the former Hunters Point Naval Shipyard in San Francisco, California. The task order was awarded by Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southwest of San Diego, California, under Tetra Tech's contract with the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Northwest, of Silverdale, Washington. The work is expected to be completed by December 2007.

Tetra Tech's work will include remediation of soil, storm drains, and sanitary sewers within a part of Hunters Point known as Parcel D. This parcel is suspected to contain radiological contamination from past activities.
