Dutch-French consortium to construct plant in Val-de-Reuil, France

Netherlands-based DHV Group and consortium partners Demathieu & Bard and Sources signed a Design & Build contract with CASE (Communauté d'Agglomération Seine-Eure) in Val-de-Reuil. The contract, worth EUR 20 million, concerns the construction of a new wastewater treatment plant located in Léry, Val-de-Reuil, northwest France. The new plant will treat the household and industrial wastewater of the communities of Val de Reuil, Le Vaudreuil, Léry, Poses, Herqueville, Pont de l'Arche, Les Damps, Pîtres, Le Manoir sur Seine, Andé, Saint Pierre du Vauvray and Saint Etienne du Vauvray.

During the coming two years, DHV and its partners will design and implement the construction. The new communal wastewater treatment plant will treat the wastewater in Léry, meeting high European standards and thereby protecting the River Seine. The plant will serve around 60,000 people and includes a composting system that will convert sludge into compost suitable for agricultural use (Amendor Technology).

The project will be financed by the Communauté d'Agglomération Seine-Eure, the Seine-Normandy Water Board and the Conseil Général de l'Eure.
