Hill International divests of Knowles' solicitors businesses

Hill International, the worldwide construction consulting firm, has announced that the operations of Construction Lawyers Ltd. (CLL), its associated solicitors practice, have been acquired by the UK-based law firm of DWF Solicitors Ltd. The deal will see Knowles' partners Neil Hunter and Julian Ives move to DWF's Liverpool office. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Hill acquired CLL when it acquired James R. Knowles (Holdings) Ltd. on September 1, 2006. The transaction will not affect the ongoing operations of Knowles and Hill in the UK or elsewhere. The company also announced that Knowles' Dubai-based law practice has been closed down.

DWF Solicitors is one of the fastest growing law firms in the UK, with over 350 legal advisers (including 69 partners) and 600 people based in Manchester and Liverpool.
