Impregilo acquires co-control of the Brazilian ’Ecorodovias’

Impregilo said that its subsidiary Impregilo International Infrastructures N.V., the holding active in the concessions business, had signed new governance agreements regarding Ecorodovias, Brazil's second-largest highway concession holder with a network of approximately 950 km, with the majority shareholder, Primav, with which it has operated successfully in Brazil for more than 30 years. Under the new corporate agreements, valid for a five-year period, Impregilo International Infrastructures N.V., which currently holds a 35% stake in Ecorodovias, acquires co-control of the company and equal representation on all corporate bodies.

The agreements are particularly important in light of the contracts due to be awarded by the Federal Government and a number of Regional Governments, a key factor for the development of Ecorodovias and for Impregilo's operations in Brazil in general.

Ecorodovias controls three highway concession holders: "Ecovia Caminho do Mar" linking Curitiba, the capital city of Paranà, with the port of Paranaguà, "Ecosul" in the State of Rio Grande do Sul and "Ecovias dos Imigrantes" (whose concession was recently extended for five years to 2023), linking São Paulo to the coast and the port of Santos. Ecorodovias is also active in automated toll services ("telepass"), logistics and services.
