European Coatings Show 2007 to cater for growth

The European Coatings Show 2007 plus Adhesives, Sealants, Construction Chemicals, which takes place in the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg from 8-10 May 2007, is already heading for a new record: The demand from the companies is so large that the exhibition will be extended over the previous event by adding an extra exhibition hall. The Nürnberg Congress from 7-9 May 2007 also expects another increase in demand – the congress programme with topical issues and top international speakers offers excellent conditions for this.

The European Coatings Show will again do justice to this claim in 2007. The present level of a good 600 exhibiting companies is distinctly above the comparable situation two years ago and the exhibiting space has even already exceeded the final result of the 2005 exhibition. This growth is generated by all product segments. Particularly on the up are printing ink raw materials and adhesive raw materials. To meet the demand for exhibiting space, another exhibition hall will be added for the European Coatings Show 2007.

A variety of events take place under the new common roof of the Nürnberg Congress in the ultramodern CCN Ost at the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg from 7-9 May 2007. Over 800 experts from all over the world are expected at the around 25 congress sessions and the European Coatings Show in the direct surroundings gives them the additional opportunity of sourcing information about innovative technologies and products at the exhibition.

The congress keynote of coatings production includes wood coatings, protective coatings, coatings on plastics, VOC 2010, powder coatings, nanotechnology, waterborne coatings, polyurethane technology, pigments & fillers, dispersant technology, functional additives, measurement & testing, and process development. There will also be special sessions for printing inks, construction chemicals, adhesives, production technology and purchasers. The session on "Science today – Coatings tomorrow" will be continued at the Nürnberg Congress in 2007 after the great success of its première at the last European Coatings Show.

REACH (Registration, Evaluation, and Authorization of Chemicals), the new EU chemical policy expected to take effect in spring 2007, and knowledge transfer between universities and industry are two highly topical issues that will receive special attention at the Nürnberg Congress.
