Tetra Tech awarded $48.5 Million U.S. EPA START Region 4 contract

Tetra Tech, Inc. announced that it was awarded a Superfund Technical Assessment & Response Team (START) contract with a maximum value of $48.5 million. The indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 4 has a three-year base period and two two-year options.

Under the previous contract, Tetra Tech continues to support EPA by performing hurricane response work in the Gulf Coast region. Tetra Tech will provide professional support services to EPA On-Scene Coordinators and other federal officials implementing EPA's responsibilities under the national response system, which is the principal federal mechanism for responding to releases of hazardous substances and oil.

Tetra Tech has also been awarded a $40 million project with a private developer, Sunflower Redevelopment, LLC, for environmental management of contaminated property at the former Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant in De Soto, Kansas. The property was formerly used by the U.S. Army to manufacture propellant during World War II and subsequent conflicts.
