New vinyl deck surface that replicates natural wood appearance

ICA Global LLC has developed a new deck material that combines the benefits of vinyl with the beauty of natural wood. The new deck surface, ForeverWood, was developed to enable homeowners to avoid choosing between the look they want and the minimal maintenance they need to accommodate today’s busy lifestyles. Unlike typical PVC or composite deck boards, ForeverWood is offered in a choice of three natural wood grain colors – redwood, cedar or grey pine – in addition to white.

In addition, the natural wood grain surface makes ForeverWood a truly non-slip surface that is ideal for use as dock planking. Since it is impervious to moisture it will never rot. And since it never splinters, even barefoot boaters can walk on it with confidence, Hamel said.

Unlike natural wood, ForeverWood will never warp, split, peel or crack, and never needs painting, staining or sealing. ForeverWood is installed using a unique tongue and groove system with pre-drilled holes, so there are no visible fasteners that can pop up and cause a safety hazard like regular nails or screws on a wooden dock.

ForeverWood is backed by a fully transferable limited lifetime warranty. The engineered PVC surface resists scratches, mold, mildew and stains, and is guaranteed to keep its natural wood grain characteristics.

ForeverWood decking boards are available in 12-, 16- and 20-foot lengths, which can easily be cut down to specific sizes. Matching trim and moldings are also available. All Forever Wood materials can be cut with a regular finishing saw blade, and no special tools are required for installation.
